Get your tickets to the 2011 Sports Person of the Year Gala Presentation Night
Council is gearing up to host the 2011 Sportsperson of the Year Gala Presentation night on Saturday, 25 February 2012 at the Blacktown RSL.
The event recognises Blacktown City's sporting men, women, boys and girls of all ages and level of competition and promotes sports and sporting clubs within the community. The night will also feature special guest, cricketing legend Max Walker.
The 2012 Sports Person of the Year winner will take home $3,000 in prize money and will hold the prestigious title for the next 12 months. Doors open at 5.30pm and the program starts at 6.00pm.
Tickets to the Gala Presentation are now available, prices are as follows:

$20 for Children 12 years and under (2 course children's meal)

$30 for Students 13-17 years (3 course meal)
- $40 for Adults 18 years and over (3 course meal)
The Sports Awards presentation is a great night to acknowledge the many talents and achievements within Blacktown. The diversity of sporting talent in our City is a tribute to our community and highlights the true spirit of Blacktown City. A Giant triple header at Blacktown International Sportspark
The Greater Western Sydney Giants will commence on their inaugural tilt at the AFL Premiership by taking on the Western Bulldogs and Collingwood Magpies in the opening week of the 2012 NAB Cup this Saturday, 18 February at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney (Eastern Road, Rooty Hill).
The triple header of pre-season games will commence at 7.15pm with plenty of entertainment and activities for the whole family. This is a great opportunity for footy fans and the Western Sydney community to experience Australian Football at the very highest level in their own backyard.
