    I would like to remind residents, that Council is offering $1,000 prize money through the Mayoral History Prize. The Blacktown Mayoral History prize aims to encourage the community to embrace the rich and diverse history of Blacktown City and award those that are contributing to the research, documentation and promotion of Blacktown’s remarkable history.     Council is offering $1,000 prize money to a local individual, group or organisation for their distinguished and sustained contribution to the broader understanding of Blacktown’s history.

  • 01/11/2009 Eleven $1,500 tertiary scholarships on offer to Blacktown City residents

    Blacktown City Council is offering Tertiary Scholarships of $1,500 to eleven Blacktown City residents who have completed at least one year of current enrolment at a recognised tertiary institution by the end of 2009 and continue study in 2010.

    The Cancer Council’s Blacktown Relay for Life takes place this weekend, 10am, Saturday, October 31 to 10am, Sunday, November 1 at Blacktown Olympic Park, Eastern Road, Rooty Hill.
