Sydney Symphony come to Blacktown City on June 11 – Tickets now available!

Discover a master of the classical music world when the Sydney Symphony returns to the Bowman Hall on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Unearth the secrets of the magnificent composer Sibelius with renowned music educator Richard Gill as he guides the audience on a journey filled with music in a unique live performance and informative exploration of classical music.

The performance will form part of the Sydney Symphony's Discovery Concerts and will be performed by Sydney Sinfonia - the Sydney Symphony's mentoring orchestra which comprises Australia's elite young musicians working alongside Sydney Symphony members.

Tickets are available now from Council by calling 9839 6000. Tickets are $10 adult, $5 concession or $25 family.

FREE Vehicle Immobilisers for residents!

Council is giving away fully fitted vehicle immobilisers (valued at $200 each) to Blacktown City residents who have had their car stolen in the past 18 months or own one of the following vehicle types:

  • Holden Commodore (1979 - 1996)
  • Ford Falcon (1983 - 1991)
  • Ford Laser (1981 - 1990)
  • Hyundai Excel X3 (1995 - 1998)
  • Mitsubishi Magna (1985 - 1999)
  • Toyota Corolla (1976 - 1995)
  • Toyota Hilux (1984 - 1999)
  • Toyota Landcruiser (1982 - 1997)
  • Toyota Camry (1987 - 1992)
  • Toyota Tarago (1983 - 1990)
