Tertiary Scholarship Awards
Council has resolved to award eleven (11) Tertiary Scholarships of $1,500.00 each payable to eleven ( 11 ) successful applicants who have completed at least one ( 1 ) year of a current enrolment at a recognised Tertiary Institution by the end of 2009.
One of these scholarships of $1,500 is the The Anne Aquilina Memorial Scholarship and will be made available to a student who is studying physiotherapy, sports medicine or health sciences.
Applicants MUST be residents of the City of Blacktown and previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to apply.
Applications should be submitted on Council's standard application form which is available from the Enquiry desk, Ground Floor, Blacktown Civic Centre or at any one of Council's Libraries or by downloading the document below.
You may attach to your application a brief personal statement as to how the scholarship will assist you and how residents of Blacktown might benefit from your further education. Copies of any supporting documentation you may deem relevant should also be attached.
Applications MUST be accompanied by a copy of the transcript relating to your current studies.
Applications on the standard form together with the attached necessary documentation will be received at the Civic Centre, Flushcombe Road, Blacktown or PO Box 63, Blacktown, 2148 until 4.30 pm, Friday 15th January 2010.
The judges decision on successful applicants will be final.
