Your Council
Councils today play a critical role in the social, economic and environmental success of the local community. Community demands continue to grow in depth and breadth but the expectation is also that they will be satisfied with existing financial resources.
In order to achieve this, Blacktown City Council has recognised the need to have a strong and well structured Management Plan with a clear short and long term focus on the varied needs of the many stakeholders vying for Council’s human and financial resources.
Given the number of challenges at Blacktown, we need clearly defined strategies to deal with them. Management Planning is all about identifying challenges and then taking actions to address them. It is used to identify what we want to achieve and to ensure that all of our actions are contributing to this end. The Management Plan translates the strategy of Council into actions; it ensures that everyone has a framework within which to operate.
