Council and committee meetings
We are embarking on a series of measures and actions in the interests of the health and wellbeing of residents in response to the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
Council has a duty of care to the community and our staff and we are fully committed to take whatever action we can to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our region.
Until further notice, council meetings will take place using video links, with all participants remotely located.
While members of the public cannot attend, they may view the meetings here:

Blacktown City is required to meet at least 10 times each year, in what are known as Ordinary Meetings.
The Mayor and Chief Executive Officer are authorised to decide on whether the Planning, Development, Historical and Assets Committee, Finance and Resources Committee, Community Services Committee and Policy and Strategy Committee need to meet, depending on the number of items available for presentation and their relative urgency.
Members of the public are most welcome to view our business papers and attend our Ordinary Meetings that are held in the Blacktown City Civic Centre.
The Mayor, or in the absence of the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor presides at the meetings.
The Chairperson of each Committee is also the Mayor or a Committee member elected by the Council or Committee.
