Councillor Santos is a litigation and conveyancing solicitor, she is an educator; she taught college diploma courses in business and management in Blacktown.
She holds several degrees including Master of Arts in Literature, Master of Educational Administration and Bachelor of Laws.
As a practising lawyer for over 25 years, Councillor Santos understands the particular challenges facing women and young people today.
Councillor Santos is a strong advocate for early intervention in education and for maintaining Blacktown City’s community services. She writes regularly for Philippine Community Herald Newspaper, using her column as legal forum for practical advices. She strongly supports community activities/projects. She works with SAFSI that has just printed the maiden issue of its newsletter; there are more projects in the pipeline.
She hopes to contribute more actively in issues of domestic violence especially in the home. She is passionate with the plight of the youth; how to help change youth views on issues of mental health and depression; how council can assist in providing programs addressing these issues.
