Lady Mayoress's Christmas Gift Appeal

Overview

Blacktown Mayoress, Mrs Anne Bali is calling on the local community to remember those less fortunate and share in the joy of Christmas by donating a gift to the annual Lady Mayoress's Christmas Gift Appeal.

Gifts are sought for children aged 0 to 16 years. Gift suggestions include new and unused toys, books,clothing and non-perishable goods. Please leave gifts unwrapped or in a gift bag for ease of distribution. 

Gifts will be accepted up until 5.00 pm, Friday 8 December 2017.

Gifts will be donated to local charities including MacKillop Family Services and the Junaya Family Development Services.

MacKillop Family Services exists to support, foster hope, and promote justice for children, young people and families, particularly those who have experienced distress, disadvantage and abuse. Each young person and family we work with is protected, nurtured and given the chance to build a brighter future.  

Junaya Family Development Services is a community based organisation offering Early Intervention Services and support for families with children between the ages of 0-18 years old. JFDS runs a specialised project to support families, parents or carers with children between the ages of 0-18 years old, who are experiencing learning difficulties and / or challenging behaviours.
