Blacktown City Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Sports Person of the Year
Tyson Adams
Tyson is a proud Kamilaroi and Bundjulung boy living on Dharug Country. He has represented NSW IN Boxing for the past 2 years and has won a gold and silver medals. Earlier this month he travelled to Perth WA to represent NSW AGAIN in the U19s school boys national Championship. He trains 6 days a week at Jabout Gym and is currently in year 9.
Blacktown City Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Young Achiever of the Year
Crystal Ferguson
Crystal is a proud Wehlubul woman from the Bundjulung Nation and also has a connection to Gumbaynggir Country and now lives on Dharug Country. Crystal has graduated with a certificate 4 in Aboriginal Family wellbeing and violence prevention which is a qualification that equips her with the skills to identify and respond to Aboriginal Children, families and communities in a culturally responsive trauma informed way.

Janine Mieni
Janine is a proud Ngemba, Wangkumara, Punthamurra and Barkinji woman who is the Ambassador of the ‘Lyme Disease Association of Australia”. Janine has a dedicated passion and clear mission in Human Rights, Children’s Rights & Animal Rights Activism at both Parliamentary & Grassroots levels. A survivor of Domestic Violence turned mentor & trained in suicide prevention, Janine is an avid leader and helps many victims & vulnerable people behind the scenes to survive and thrive.
Blacktown City Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Citizen of the Year
Nicole Winters
Nicole is a proud descendant of the Boorooberongal Clan of the Dharug Nation. She is a mother and respected Dharug community leader from Blacktown and Mt Druitt. Recently she has overcome significant personal loss and maintains her employment as an Aboriginal Supportive & Palliative Care Worker for the Western Sydney Local Health District. Last year Nicole graduated from the University of Sydney in Aboriginal Health Promotion.
