Sydney Festival returns to Blacktown for the third year!

The voices of elders and future leaders from Blacktown’s Aboriginal community feature in Four Windsa surround-sound ‘deep listening’ experience curated by Daniel Browning.

Blacktown Arts is partnering again with Urban Theatre Projects in this 21st century campfire experience.

Four Winds is a cross-generational dialogue between 96 year old elder Uncle Wes MarneSenior Darug Elder Aunty Edna Watson and teens Savarna Russell and Shaun Millwood. Together they engage in an exchange that bridges the past and the future, giving audiences a deeper understanding of contemporary Aboriginality.

Respected songwoman Emma Donovan, in collaboration with violinist Eric Avery, will also respond to the stories in song with Dharug words gifted by Aunty Edna.
