Songlines and Sightlines – Colouring in Blacktown

Drawings by Leanne Watson including a kangaroo, emu, sun, trees and house

Artist and Darug knowledge holder Leanne Mulgo Watson and artist Peter Rush have mapped sites of significance onto the gallery walls reflecting Darug song lines, plants, animals and the built environment for visitors to interact with, follow and be inspired by.

Songlines and Sightlines – Colouring in Blacktown is inclusive and participatory, open to visitors of all ages including children and families. Colour in or contribute your own drawings of local landmarks and memories important to you. The result will be a community driven, collaborative exhibition of Blacktown city that speaks to the complex layers of history and memory held within the area. Free and open to all.

Featuring artists Leanne Mulgo Watson, Peter Rush, Erin Wilkins and Bundeluk Watson.
