Swap your style party - May 2025

Ready to update your wardrobe? Before you buy new, join us for an exciting night of sustainable fashion by swapping, dropping and restyling your wardrobe! Arrive for any or all 3 components below:

1. Swap

Do you have clothing or accessories in great condition that you no longer wear? Bring up to 6 quality items to our swapping party hosted in partnership with The Clothing Exchange. For each item you drop off, you will receive a token which can be used to select another item once the swap begins.

We encourage all genders, sizes and ages to join in to ensure each piece finds a deserving wearer. Also, be sure to say hi to our partnering volunteer initiative Boomerang Bags Riverstone, who will be handing out free recycled fabric tote bags to take your items home in!

2. Drop

Have you got even more quality items after raiding your wardrobe? Save your best 6 for the swap, and donate your extra clothing, shoes and accessories to Save the Children throughout the evening. They will be onsite accepting your pre-loved items and the excess from the swap, which will provide support for the most vulnerable in our community.

3. Restyle

Need some tips in styling your newly swapped pieces? You’ll hear more about this in the sustainable fashion presentation by Ali Dibley and Jo Gambale, hosts of the Questioning Fashion podcast. They will explore the ways we can enjoy clothes without contributing to the growing waste crisis and answer all your questions around circular fashion.

Times:

  • donations drop off from 5.30 pm
  • swap check-in: 5.30 pm – 6.00 pm
  • guest speakers: 6 pm – 7 pm
