Have your say on our plans for 2020/21

Would you like to have your say on Council’s plans and budget for the coming year?

Council has updated its Operational Plan for 2020/21 and is seeking community feedback. This plan includes the draft:

  • actions and targets

  • budget

  • capital works and

  • rates, fees and charges.

Council has also updated its 10 year long term financial plan.

These documents will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 6 May through to Tuesday 2 June.  Copies of the documents are available by clicking on the links in related information.

Please note – Council resolved on 13 May 2020 to adopt an amended borrowing policy and to amend its draft Operational Plan for 2020/21 and Long Term Financial Plan 2020-2030 to incorporate a new funding strategy. This funding strategy is to borrow for a 3 year fixed term an amount of $12.7 million to fund asset renewal works in the Works Improvement Program 2020/21. This policy is in effect until 30 June 2022 and is to specifically address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The relevant amendments have been made in 3 of the exhibited documents (labelled as “revised 13 May 2020”) and these changes are indicated in green text in each document.
