SPP-19-00003 Planning Agreement

In accordance with Section 7.5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Clause 25D of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000, notice is hereby given that Council proposes to enter into a Planning Agreement with Ropes Crossing Village Pty Limited as trustee of the Ropes Crossing Village Unit Trust for its development at Lot 4 in DP 1095600, 8 Central Place, Ropes Crossing, New South Wales. 

The agreement promotes the public interest by facilitating the provision of specified public amenities and public services in connection with the development through funds provided by the developer under the planning agreement. In this regard, the development is considered to increase demand for the specified public amenities and public services for which monetary development contributions are required.

The agreement specifically relates to development application SPP-19-00003, for the redevelopment of the existing at-grade car park to accommodate a new mixed use development involving the retention and expansion of the existing shopping centre comprising the addition of 711.6sqm of supermarket floor space, 40.8sqm of specialty retail floor space and 525sqm of commercial floor space above the existing childcare centre, building envelopes for 3 x 6 storey residential flat buildings comprising 128 residential apartments and private communal open space areas provided at the podium level and rooftops, 461 at-grade and basement car parking spaces, site improvements including minor landscaping and public domain works, and a stage 1 detailed DA for the construction and occupation of the 525sqm commercial tenancy above the existing childcare centre.

The exhibition period will run from 16 October 2019 to 19 November 2019
