S7.11 Plans, VPAs, Works in Kind and Contributions Register
Local infrastructure contributions, also known as developer contributions, are charged by councils when new development occurs. They help fund infrastructure like parks, community facilities, local roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage and traffic management.
The Contributions Team creates contributions plans for areas within the Local Government Area which sets out:
-
The local infrastructure required to meet the demand associated with development in a specific area
-
The estimated cost of the land, works and administration required to provide this infrastructure
-
The contribution rates for different types of infrastructure that the council proposes to levy on developers
A map showing the approximate catchment boundaries of each contributions plan can be downloaded here.
The Contributions Team assesses Development Applications and Complying Development Certificates and calculates the contribution amount payable in accordance with the applicable contributions plan.
We also consider offers to enter into a Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) or a Works-In-Kind Agreement .
