  • Make-up lessons are not available. Refer to the missed lesson policy for full details.

  • Any request for cancellation or refund is to be in writing and is not guaranteed.

  • A credit will be issued for any classes cancelled by the centre due to extreme weather.

  • If there are any concerns regarding your child’s instructor or class then please see the swim school office.

  • Please vacate the lesson area as soon as possible after the completion of the lesson to make way for the next class participants.

  • Practice makes perfect.  Please practice the skills the student learns.

  • Parents need to actively supervise their children in accordance with centre supervision guidelines.

  • For infant classes, students must wear aqua nappies.

  • All students must wear appropriate swimwear.

Swim school access policy

  • Entry for lessons is not permitted more than 1 hour prior to lessons, otherwise normal fees apply.

  • For centres with turnstiles an access card will be issued.

  • The swim school access card is to be used at the turnstiles each week to gain entry for swimming lessons as well as it marks the attendance to the lesson.

  • If you have forgotten the access card, please see the swim school office or reception to mark attendance.

  • For centres without turnstiles, please see reception to gain access and then ensure the instructor marks the student name as attending.

  • Two parents/carers and any siblings aged between 5 and 15 years will be admitted free of charge for the duration of the class provided they are accompanied by a parent and do not utilise the facilities.

  • For parent and baby classes, two adults are allowed in free, one to participate in the class and another as a spectator.

  • During swimming lessons the parent or carer must remain in the area of the class, within full view should the instructor require assistance.

  • Other family members will be required to pay general admission charges.

Missed lesson policy

  • No makeup lessons are available for missed classes.

  • If a student misses up to 4 lessons due to illness or injury, a Family Pass per missed lesson is available subject to a doctor's certificate being provided.

  • If a student misses 5 or more consecutive lessons due to illness or injury a credit for each of the missed lessons is available subject to a doctor's certificate being provided.

  • If a student has a planned family holiday where it is known that at least 5 weeks of lessons will be missed then we recommend not to enrol into the term as no refund or credit will be given for the missed lessons. We recommend you skip the term and enrol in the following term. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the same day and time if a term is missed. You will however be a priority enrolment.

What to bring to your swimming lessons

  • Swimming costume

  • Aqua nappies are compulsory for infant classes. Disposable of swim nappy shorts are fine. Normal nappies must not be worn in the pool.

  • Towel

  • Goggles and swimming cap

  • Hair bands for students with long hair

  • Appropriate warm clothing and footwear for after the lesson.

Swim tips for preparing for your lesson

  • Don't eat or drink a lot directly before a swimming lesson as you may get stomach cramps or be sick!

  • Give yourself plenty of time to be there before your lesson. This will allow you to be calm and not rushed and you can also go to the toilet if you need to.

  • Please be on time - this will help the teacher and the other students.

  • NEVER get in the water unless your instructor says so.

  • DO NOT swim if you have diarrhoea in the past 2 weeks.
