2020 Blacktown City Festival Week Cancelled

Blacktown City Council has a duty of care to protect the health and wellbeing of residents and staff in response to the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

Based on lessons learned from overseas and acting on Government health advice Council is committed to take whatever action it can to slow the spread of the virus in our region.

The most effective way to slow the infection rate is by ‘social distancing’ which includes avoiding crowds, meetings and gatherings, staying at home if you have symptoms of cold or flu, working from home, giving people ‘space’ and practising good personal hygiene.

To this end, Council is cancelling or postponing all non-essential gatherings, events and meetings that come under its control until 30 June.

The Blacktown City Festival will return in 2021!
