We have 6 candy coloured garbage trucks, as vehicles for social change.
The 6 garbage trucks have been added to our fleet as mobile billboards to promote community issues such as bicycle safety, depression, litter reduction, diabetes, childhood cancers, and domestic violence.
We hope the trucks will get lots of attention when we use them as vehicles for social change
The 'candy coloured garbage' trucks carry the colours and community messages of the Amy Gillett Foundation (pink), Black Dog Institute (orange), Cancer Council NSW (yellow and purple), Diabetes NSW & ACT (blue), Keep NSW Beautiful (white) and Redkite (red).
The garbage trucks will not be treated any differently – they will be on the road collecting garbage, but with the added worth of carrying positive social messaging.
There is little point just having a truck saying it is from Blacktown City Council – it is more important that they can be used to boost awareness for worthwhile causes.
