Other approvals you need

If your proposal includes building or construction work, you'll need to obtain a Construction Certificate.

A construction certificate can be issued by either Council or an accedited cerifier.

If you have a development consent, you need a construction certificate before you can start building work.

A construction certificate confirms building plans comply with the Building Code of Australia and include detailed building/engineering plans and specifications.

Any plan changes that are inconsistent with the development consent would need to be assessed as to whether an application to modify the development consent is required.

A construction certificate must be obtained before building work commences.

Without a valid construction certificate, you cannot obtain an occupation certificate at the completion of building work.

Other approvals

You may also be required to obtain other approvals such as road opening or driveway approvals.

Please read the conditions on your development approval for guidance.
