Spill kit rebate program

Spill kits provide physical barriers and clean-up equipment to prevent chemicals from entering drains and polluting our waterways. We are running a rebate program for the purchase of spill kits made within 3 months of your application. The aim of this program is to support and encourage high-risk businesses to purchase spill kits to have on hand for use during spill incidents.

What is included under this rebate?

  • Applicable systems that will be considered for the rebate include:
  • suitable spill kit (including size) for the operations of the business (e.g. general purpose, hazchem, or oil/fuel spill kits)
  • spill kit service and refill.

You must be able to provide a valid receipt for your purchase and please note the rebate will not cover the cost associated with postage installation or delivery.

What is the rebate?

The spill kit rebate will cover up to $500 of the purchase of a spill kit. There is a limited budget for this program. Once the budget limit has been reached no further rebates will be approved. Only 1 transaction receipt can be provided. 

How do I apply for a rebate?

Read over the terms and conditions found on the tab below. When ready to apply click on the rebate application form tab and complete the details, remembering to upload your receipt when asked.

Your businesses may be audited by an environmental compliance projects officer to ensure the spill kit is in the right location.

Rebate Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions of this rebate program include:

• The applicant must be the owner of a registered business within the Blacktown City local government area

• The spill kit must be purchased after 1 July 2021, and the rebate application must be made within 3 months of the purchase to be eligible

• Businesses will be eligible for 1 rebate per registered ABN

• We will process rebates in the order they are received.

• The rebate application must be accompanied by a receipt that shows: 

     • date of purchase

     • place of purchase (retailer)

     • purchase price

     • product purchased.

Your application will be assessed and if approved a bank transfer payment will be sent. These payments are done once a month so please allow time for the process to occur.

• Only 1 transaction receipt can be provided per rebate application

• We cannot accept purchases that cannot be verified, such as purchases made on Facebook or through a friend

• This program has a limited amount of funding. If this limit is reached, we will only process rebates up to the total funding value in order of receipt, and the program will be closed. We will not process any rebates submitted after funding has been expended

• We hold the right to reject any application

• We must be able to find the product purchased on the company’s website in order to confirm the validity of the product and purchase
