COVID 19 restrictions

Thank you for registering your property in the 2020 Blacktown City Christmas Lights Competition and we wish you the best during the judging process.

Home owners participating in this years competition are encouraged to practice COVID safe measures and ensure that visitors maintain social distancing whilst on your property.

It is recommended where reasonable that you consider some of the below options if you allow visitors onto your property to view your Christmas decorations:

- Have a sign in registration book at an entry point to your property capturing date, time and contact details  of visitors (information must be retained for 28 days and provided to NSW Public Health if requested, should a known COVID-19 case be identified to have visited your property). Or erect signage at the entry point to your property displaying COVID safe messaging and QR registration code (please contact the Events Team to obtain signage).

- Have a hand sanitiser pump at the entry point to your property

- Limit the number of people on your property at any given time to meet the current 2sqm ratio.

- If you have an open yard, consider using garden stakes with rope, directing residents to the main entry point of your garden, which will allow you to control ingress and egress.

For properties that do not allow residents onto their property, however attract large gatherings on the footpath, you may like to consider using some colourful chalk and marking an X every 1.5 meters apart in front of your property, that way you are still encouraging residents to practice social distancing, even thought they are not on your actual property.

Please note that the above recommendation, are for properties that would usually attract substantial number of visitors on a daily basis, enjoying your decorations. If your property does not attract large number of visitors, then the above suggestion does not apply to you.
