Microchipping animals

If you love your pets then microchip them. It's FREE to Blacktown City residents. There is a limit of two free microchips per resident, additional microchips are $19.50 per animal for Blacktown residents with proof of address.

Cat and dog microchipping for Non-Blacktown residents is $52 per animal.

Rabbits, guinea pigs and ferret microchipping is $39 per animal.

When an animal is microchipped its identification details are entered onto the NSW Pet Registry. A certificate is issued to the owner receipting the entry of their animal's details.

Once you have microchipped your animal, you then need to lifetime register it by 6 months of age. See animal registrations for more information on how to register your pet.
