We want the process of joining us to feel as clear and straightforward as the work you'll do here. Here's what you can expect when you apply.
A fair process, every time
We assess every application on merit. That means consistent, transparent processes across every stage from how we review applications to how we conduct interviews.
We're committed to equal employment opportunity and removing any barriers that might stand in the way of a fair outcome.
If you need adjustments at any point in the process, just let us know. We'll make sure you have what you need to put your best foot forward.
A workplace where everyone looks out for each other
Safety is part of the way we work, not something that sits in a policy document. When you join us, you become part of a team that takes responsibility for its own wellbeing and looks out for the people around it. That starts from day 1.
Applying
Once you submit your online application, you'll receive an email confirming we've received it. From there, an interview panel will review all applications based on qualifications, experience, skills and knowledge.
Only shortlisted candidates progress to interview, and if you're selected, you'll be contacted by phone or email within 4 weeks of the closing date.
The interview
Your interview will be with a panel who will ask questions based on the selection criteria in the position description, as well as your employment history and relevant skills and experience.
At the end of the interview, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions about the role. Use this time to show your interest in and understanding of the position; it's your chance to strengthen your case.
You may also be asked to complete an Emotional Intelligence assessment or an aptitude or skills-based test.
What to bring
Please bring originals and photocopies of the following:
-
evidence of your right to work in Australia, such as a drivers licence and birth certificate, or passport
-
evidence of qualifications, certificates and licences
-
any relevant work samples or portfolio.
If your referees are not listed in your application, the panel convenor will ask for their contact details at the interview. We recommend letting your referees know they may be contacted shortly after.
Pre-employment checks
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment at our nominated medical centre.
For positions involving child related work, you will need to provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC) number at the time of application, in line with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013. The position description attached to the advertisement will tell you if a WWCC is required. To apply for a WWCC number, visit or call (02) 9286 7219 if you need assistance.
Hearing back from us
Once the successful candidate has been identified and approved, an offer of employment will be made. When that offer has been accepted, all other interviewed candidates will be notified.
We appreciate the time and effort everyone puts into applying, and we make sure every candidate receives an outcome.
A workplace worth applying for
We know your skills and experience could take you many places. We hope you choose to bring them here, where the work you do will shape the future of 1 of Australia's most vibrant and growing communities.
