Community values, satisfaction and interaction with our waterways

Waterways are an important part of our City and are used and valued by the community in different ways.

We recently invited all members of the Blacktown City community to take a survey our waterways. Community feedback will help us to better understand:

  • cultural and historical significance of waterways to our First Nations People
  • how the community values our waterways
  • where our community interacts with our waterways and
  • the communities current level of satisfaction with our waterways.

Blacktown City has 262km of waterways, 130km of which we are responsible for managing. We do not have sufficient resources to undertake waterway management activities everywhere across our City.  Understanding our communities views about our waterways will help to inform how and where we prioritise our waterway management activities.

You may have also see us in person in the following local shopping centres:

  • Kings Langley Shopping Centre, Thursday 19 September
  • Seven Hills Plaza, Friday 20 September
  • Eastern Creek Quarter, Sunday 22 September
  • Emerton Village, Thursday 26 September
  • Stanhope Village, Friday 27 September

We would like to thank you all for providing us with your feedback. Once we have reviewed this we will update this page and share some insights with you.
