Community small grants

Local community groups and Not-for-profit organisations are invited to apply for grants up to $1,000 for operating expenses or up to $2,000 for program developments that benefit our Blacktown City community.

The program allocates funds to community groups and Not-for-profit organisations to assist with the continued promotion of community spirit and identity, embracing cultural history and diversity.

Policy and eligibility criteria

Applicants are limited to 1 request within a financial year and are subject to meeting the eligibility criteria in our Financial support policy and available funds. Applicants who have received a one-off donation or fee waiver within the same financial year are not eligible to apply.

Applicants seeking financial support in excess of $500 must provide recent financial statements with a current audited balance sheet.

The intended purpose of these grants is not for the purchase of large capital items or building improvements.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate how these funds will benefit the residents of Blacktown.
