Variance Provisions: Renegotiation Provisions: On 1 August 2005 Council entered into a contract with the Waste Recycling and Processing Corporation (trading as WSN Environmental Solutions and formerly known as Waste Service NSW) as a result of an Expression of Interest process to provide processing of a mixed domestic waste stream. The UR-3R facility is the only Alternative Waste Technology (AWT) facility currently in the Sydney area that can process a mixed domestic waste stream from a two bin system. The contract was for an initial 5 year period, with three additional option periods, to be exercised at Council’s discretion.
