Vegetation Management Plans

A Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) details how regeneration, restoration or reconstruction of native vegetation will be carried out at a site. Where development proposals impact, either directly or indirectly, on land identified for environmental protection, the preparation of a VMP may be required.

These guideline has been created to provide proponents (developers, consultants, community groups and private landholders) greater transparency and clarity on what we require in a VMP. We have also supplied a template that conforms with this guideline for use by proponents.

Where VMP’s are prepared in line with this guideline it is expected to streamline the development approval process, saving both Council and developers time and money.
