Council adopted a new Plan of management for the Blacktown Showground Precinct on 27 August 2025. The Precinct includes the Blacktown Showground, Francis Park and Reserve 854 in Richmond Road and Kent Street Blacktown.The new Plan is the key strategic planning and governance tool for managing the Precinct, and sets out objectives and performance targets.

Blacktown City, we are calling you to remember those less fortunate and share in the joy of Christmas by donating a gift to the annual Mayoress Christmas Gift Appeal.
Gifts are sought for children aged 0 to 16 years. Gift suggestions include new and unused toys, books, clothing and non-perishable goods. We kindly ask that you leave gifts unwrapped or in a gift bag for ease of sorting and distribution.
The gifts received will be donated to local charities around Blacktown City.
2025 donations open Wednesday 5 November and close Wednesday 3 December 2025.
