Volunteering with us

Volunteering with us

Our large and dedicated group of over 450 active volunteers play an important role of helping Council deliver programs and services throughout the City. Volunteering adds value to the many community services we provide such as libraries and parks, and helps foster a spirit of community from our youngest to our most senior community members.

Visit out volunteer portal to see what volunteering roles are available.

Once we receive your application, we will review it and contact you. If it looks like you will be a good match for the role, we will invite you to have a further conversation with us, either by phone or face-to-face. Reference and background checks may be conducted as part of the recruitment process.

All of our volunteers go through a structured induction process. You will learn about our Code of Conduct, WHS requirements, policies and procedures which set out the standards that we expect of everyone.

For more information on any of our volunteer programs, contact our Volunteer Program Coordinator on 02 9839 6244 or email volunteering@blacktown.nsw.gov.au.
