Join us in the Village Green to celebrate International Mother Language Day. The event will feature a multicultural stage program from 10 am - 3 pm and include a number of community stalls.

International Mother Language Day is celebrated each year on 21 February to raise awareness of language, cultural diversity, and multilingualism around the world.

Many languages spoken across the world are at risk of extinction and it is predicted a language will disappear every fortnight. As well as promoting intercultural dialogue and respect, languages are proven to also play an important role in the sustainable development of communities and the preservation of cultural heritage.

Theme for 2025 is 'Language Technologies for All'
