Book the Blacktown Showground
The Blacktown Showground is available to hire for special event purposes.
The following conditions apply to all special events at the Blacktown Showground:
- All hirers will be charged for the management of site, waste, traffic control and security by our authorised staff and contractors. A cleaning and damage bond will also be taken in line with our Goods and Services Pricing Schedule(PDF, 5MB).
- Upon submission of your application to conduct an event at the Blacktown Showground, a cost breakdown will be emailed to the hirer for acceptance. Once accepted, a deposit invoice will be issued to confirm the booking.
Prior to the event being held, the hirer must provide the following:
1. Program, site plan and risk management plan for the event.
2. Applicant's Public Liability insurance certificate of currency (minimum $20 million).
3. Public Liability insurance and Professional Indemnity insurance certificate of currency (minimum $20 million) from all third party providers such as amusement operators, pyrotechnic suppliers and food vendors, where applicable.
4. Workers Compensation certificate of currency from all third party providers such as amusement operators, pyrotechnic suppliers and food vendors, where applicable.
5. A detailed risk assessment and management plan from third party providers such amusement operators, pyrotechnic suppliers and food vendors, where applicable.
6. NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate from all food vendors.
7. Copy of the Schedule 1 (Notice of intention to hold a public assembly) that has been submitted to the Licensing Officer at the Blacktown Local Area Command (Blacktown Police) by organiser.
If you are engaging an amusement ride supplier, the following documents will be required in addition to the above:
- Safework NSW approval

- please visit the Firework permit page for information on approvals and permits.
- we will require proof of a SafeWork NSW permit before we can approve the firework display to go ahead.
