Personal alarm system

In April 2020, the Federal Government made personal monitoring technology available to seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible seniors can access personal monitoring technology through their Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) provider or their Home Care Package (HCP) provider.  To check eligibility, contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or your provider. Council’s personal alarm system program aims to provide eligible residents with a personal alarm system so they can live independently and safely but there is currently a wait list to access this service. All costs are covered by us for applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. Service level 1 option is the only option currently offered.

  • Service level 1 provided by Vital Call is monitored 24/7 through a call centre and is recommended for residents who are socially isolated and have a high medical/care need.
