Personal alarm system
This program aims to provide eligible residents with a personal alarm system package so they can live independently and safely. All costs are covered by us as long as applicants meet the eligibility criteria.
There are two service levels options offered:
Service level 1 provided by Vital Call is monitored 24/7 through a call centre and is recommended for residents who are socially isolated and have a high medical/care need. There is currently a wait list for this service.
Service level 2 provided by Oricom International is not monitored 24/7 by a call centre but instead voice alerts are sent using the landline telephone to the resident’s nominated emergency contacts such as neighbours, family or friends and the alert can be escalated to triple zero (000) in an emergency. This product is no longer produced by Oricom International and Council regrets to inform we are unable to process new applications for service level 2 at present.
