The Blacktown City Council Plant Nursery is open on four Saturdays each year, to give residents who can’t make it to our nursery during the week an opportunity to collect their annually allocated free plants. The next nursery open day will be held on Saturday 30 March between 9 am and 1 pm.

Our Road Safety Officer, Fiona Frost (holding the Teddy Bear!) attended an in-service training day for Midwives in the Area Health Services to promote the safe use of Child Restraints in cars.
In Blacktown we offer many free child restraint checking and installation days. It is hoped that promoting these days through the essential Antenatal Programs run by this dedicated group of Nurses, that more people will take advantage them.
