Works began on 30 June 2025 and includes a 3-metre-wide concrete path and landscaping to improve safety, recreation, and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists.
Construction of cycleway from Foreman Avenue to Eagle Way, Glenwood Construction of the cycleway between Foreman Avenue and Eagle Way, Glenwood, which began in October 2024, was completed in December 2024. The project has improved connectivity, enhanced safety, and promoted healthier transport options for pedestrians and cyclists. With the work now finished, residents can enjoy safer routes and better access to local amenities and public transport.
Medlow Drive road pavement reconstruction, Quakers Hill We have successfully completed the road pavement reconstruction of Medlow Drive, Quakers Hill. The works included lowering services and installing new asphalt layers to improve road safety, traffic flow, and durability.
Road reconstruction of Stephen Street, Blacktown Blacktown City Council successfully completed the reconstruction of Stephen Street, between Lawson Street and Dunstable Road, on 29 November 2024. The project commenced on 6 November 2024 and was finished on schedule.
Warrick Lane Blacktown sewer underline crossing Blacktown City Council has completed a new sewer main linking Warrick Lane with George Street, supporting growth in Blacktown’s city centre. Completed in April 2025, the project involved underboring beneath the rail line, installing manholes and restoring the site. The upgrade improves infrastructure capacity for around 8,500 future residents.
Max Webber Library, Blacktown - refurbishment and upgrade works Blacktown City Council has completed major upgrades at Max Webber Library, enhancing children’s areas, technology studios and signage. The works improve accessibility, learning spaces and community facilities, with a total investment of over $736,000.

Greenspace Services - general update May 2025 Blacktown City Council continued park, sportsfield and playground maintenance despite heavy rainfall in May. Key works included tree inspections, turf servicing, and playground repairs. Over 1,300 plants were distributed, Bushcare volunteers contributed 159 hours, and ecological and stormwater restoration projects progressed across multiple sites.

Public pathway 8506 reconstruction project, Kings Langley Blacktown City Council has completed the upgrade of Public Pathway 8506 under the 2024/2025 Works Improvement Program. The project commenced on 4 December 2024, involved reconstructing the pavement to enhance safety and accessibility and was successfully completed on 24 January 2025.

After identifying defects in the volleyball court surface, repairs were delayed due to weather but have now been fully completed. The park is once again open, providing a safe and enjoyable space for the community.

Greenspace Services - general update April 2024 In April 2024, Greenspace Services recorded 260mm of rainfall, leading to temporary closures and maintenance delays for sporting fields. Staff completed winter sports preparations, audited irrigation systems and applied turf fertiliser.
