Council have adopted a Multicultural action plan (MAP) 2024 - 2028(PDF, 164KB) to continue to guide our work in advancing Blacktown City's diverse communities.

The Multicultural action plan in consultation with the Multicultural Advisory Committee, draws on the results of our Quality of Life and Community Satisfaction surveys. The action plan is intended to be the baseline for action and is monitored by the committee and reviewed annually.

The plan focuses on 5 key priority areas.

  1.  social inclusion - a vibrant community where culture is celebrated and opportunities enhanced.

  2. community resilience - a strong and connected community able to respond to situations.

  3. justice and fairness - a community who feel respected and heard.

  4. social and civic participation - a community which promotes the wellbeing, inclusion and sense of belonging of our residences.

  5. economic benefit - a prosperous future for our community.
