Multicultural awards
Blacktown City Council hosts the Multicultural Awards to recognise volunteers, workers and organisations from multicultural backgrounds who have demonstrated leadership and success. The awards proceed from the action plan outlined in the Blacktown Multicultural Strategy adopted by Council.
These awards recognise and celebrate the extraordinary contributions made and leadership shown by the residents from multicultural backgrounds, local multicultural service providers and businesses within Blacktown City.
They celebrate the excellence of our multicultural community and our diversity to champion multiculturalism and promote a deeper understanding of our multicultural community.
As a community, we are extremely proud of our cultural diversity and Blacktown City Council is a strong supporter of multiculturalism. It is central to our identity as a vibrant, resilient and inclusive community. Multiculturalism makes our society richer.
There are three award categories: inspirational person, volunteer and organisation or business.
