Purpose
Our Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee provides input from the perspective of people with lived experience of disability, with a focus on Blacktown City Council’s Disability Inclusion action plan(PDF, 34MB).
The committee consists of people with lived experience of disability, carers, advocates and disability service providers in Blacktown City.
The focus of the advisory committee is to monitor the implementation of the Disability Inclusion action plan and provide advice in the review annually. The knowledge and advice from the committee can help Council improve access and inclusion for our community.

represent the access and inclusion needs of our community

determine actions that can be taken to improve access and inclusion of Council's services

identify gaps relating to access and inclusion by providing advice based on industry developments

actively promoting the importance of access and inclusive practices.
