The Blacktown Women Advisory Committee was established by Council to provide advice on issues relevant to women.

Purpose of the Committee
The Blacktown Women Advisory Committee provides advice to Council on improving women’s opportunities to participate and engage actively in all aspects of the community.

The Committee provides advice to Council on issues relevant to women including:

* policy development
* planning of services facilities, events, programs and projects
* the best ways to consult and engage with local communities
* ways to improve access to services and facilities for women.
